Aesthetic contouring and bonding
Aesthetic contouring, or bonding, is an effective way to reshape minor aesthetic issues. With aesthetic contouring, we apply composite filling material to the tooth, and shape it into the desired appearance. Composite bonding is essentially unnoticeable to the naked eye, and it can be customized to match the natural shade of your teeth perfectly.
Veneers are a more drastic form of cosmetic dentistry, and are used if there is one tooth, or multiple teeth that require significant aesthetic treatment. Veneers are essentially a cover, or casing, that is cemented onto your existing teeth.
Typically, good candidates for veneers are patients whose teeth are worn down, or have drastic cosmetic issues like chipping, or discoloration. Since veneers usually require existing teeth to be slightly shaved down in order to make room for the veneer, patients with generally healthy teeth are usually referred to other alternatives like crowns or bridges.

Who is eligible for cosmetic dentistry?
Some patients may not be good candidates for certain cosmetic procedures. At Dr. Beatrice Leung Dentistry, we will determine what treatments are best suited for your personal situation, and explain the pros and cons of each.
