Case 6 – Immediate temporary denture
In today’s busy society, almost no one can allow himself or herself to go “toothless” in public. Therefore whenever a number of teeth need to be removed, or that the treatment requires several months to complete, there is always a temporary solution in replacing those missing teeth while the treatment plan is being finalized and carried out. In this case, the patient had advanced dental cavities rendering his teeth all non-restorable. All of them had to be extracted. The patient was restored with a set of immediate complete dentures that were delivered the same day the teeth were extracted. The dentures restore temporarily the missing teeth for function and aesthetics while the definitive treatment plan can be carried out. Such temporary solution can be applied to virtually any combination of missing teeth and can be easily repaired and modified.
